This committee works to prevent elder abuse through the intervention of modifying attitudes and behaviors of various age groups with increased awareness, advocacy, and education.
The mission of the Intergenerational Committee is to prevent Elder Abuse through promoting attitudes and behaviors of respect, by intervening with awareness, advocacy, and education.
We believe that every individual has the right:
- to a peaceful, safe and nuturing environment.
- to be treated with dignity and respect.
- to be fairly heard with mercy and justice.
Current Committee Activity
The committee is piloting a proactive program with the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Scottsdale to teach youth to be respectful to our older population. The slogan for the intergenerational program is, “Be Cool, Not Cruel.”
